Mareta Ravioli Inc. was established in 1956 by Peter and Jenny Mareta.  They started making tortellini by hand in the basement of their grocery store, employing 30 teenagers who worked for two hours a day after school.  The Mareta's believed the only way to make a product was to make it the same way that they would for themselves, by using only the best ingredients, to ensure quality and consistency.  Now years later Martha Mareta, the middle of seven children and two of her sons own and operate Mareta Ravioli Inc.  We have expanded our product line from the original beef tortellini to a 12 item product line.  Also, Mareta's can be found in Iowa, Wisconsin, and our home state Illinois.
